Easter Lily Cactus Bouquet HDR

May 20th, 2012

A couple of days ago, my neighbors and I were treated to a beautiful display of Easter Lily Cactus blossoms! I have photographed this flower, and posted the results on my website in the past, but this cluster was so amazing, that I decided to post both a regular photo and a HDR version. Also, I made the HDR version available in a 20x24 canvas print, at a sale price until 5/23/2012.

Sedona Red Rocks

May 11th, 2012

I visited Sedona Arizona, yesterday, and returned with several beautiful photographs to share. The color of the rock formations, and the formations themselves are surreal. Whether the sun is shining or mist is falling into the canyons, this area is always a beautiful place to visit!

City Windows Abstract Pop art Colors

May 8th, 2012

I am featuring one of my recent photographs of glass walled skyscrapers, that I converted into strong pop art colors. The grids of the window frames that separate the colorful panes of glass, work with the reflections to create a mesmerizing abstract.

A Lifting Storm

May 6th, 2012

Phoenix area was having a bit of weather, so I headed out to The Superstition Mountains to photograph that perfect 'rare desert storm'. The clouds were laying on the top of the mountain when I arrived, but before I reached my photo viewpoint, a cloudburst erupted. When the rain stopped, the clouds began to lift. That's when I flew into action, and was able to capture this awesome shot of a mist rising from a canyon behind a rugged rock formation.
I am making this photograph available in a 24x36 print on canvas for $110, until 5/11/2012.

Lavender Blue Iris

April 30th, 2012

This week, I am featuring my most recent Iris flower photograph, Lavender Blue Iris. The color of this Iris is extraordinary, in shades of periwinkle blue with just the right amount of lavender, and the detail of the ruffling on the petals make this an exceptional art print. Signs Signs And More Signs

April 15th, 2012

I went on a little photo shoot in downtown Phoenix this morning, and found a very interesting wall of signs. Arizona is celebrating its centennial birthday this year, and someone very creative had covered the side of a building with road signs, arranging them to read 1912 2012. I have posted photos on my website:

New Photos Of Southwest Subjects

April 13th, 2012

I have just added two new cactus blossom photos and a close up shot of an interesting pattern formed by the spikes on a cactus plant. The desert is full of surprises at this time of year. The Palo Verde trees are starting to bloom and cactus plants are putting on a beautiful display everywhere. Visit my site to view colorful southwest photographs.

Blessings

April 6th, 2012

I have just released a new digital art photo with the saying, "Blessings don't always come in a pretty package". This word is meant to be an encouragement to anyone who is going through a tough time. Many times, perhaps years from now, a hidden blessing will be revealed. A blessing that could only have resulted from a situation that looked dire at the time. The sticker ridden cactus plant represents the problem, while the beautiful blossom speaks of the blessing that is waiting to burst forth.
